Fun, creative work with a fantastic team
Pros
There's a very infectious enthusiastic energy at Beacons. The company is growing and it feels like there is a lot of potential impact that you can have as an individual contributor. Something that feels very unique and refreshing is that the company values aren't empty words—it feels like the team & leadership think about how the work connects to the values on a day to day basis. I've personally found it to be a very fun and inspiring environment where I feel challenged and supported. Creative solutions are encouraged and there is a good balance of brainstorming & decision-making. Most importantly, I think the team really inspires respect and trust.
Cons
No cons that I can think of. Even things that could have been challenging, like a hybrid in-office and remote team, are managed really well with a strong written culture and respect around meeting times. As with any startup, things move quickly, but there is good communication and decisions around changes feel very collaborative.
