Pros

Unfortunately, there are certainly no pros to working at Beakbane.

Cons

Leaving a company review often leads to being labelled a disgruntled ex-employee, but I assure you, I'm not. In fact, I'm really glad to no longer work at Beakbane after a truly awful experience. I spent six months as a Design Engineer, and it quickly became clear I made a mistake. My engineering manager, seated just a few feet away, completely ignored me and wouldn't even look at me when I spoke to her. She communicated only through emails or the internal app and often had another team member relay instructions instead of helping me herself. Her lack of leadership was shocking, and it severely impacted my morale, performance and productivity. I never received guidance, even when I asked for it, and there was no proper onboarding or support. In one meeting, my manager even commented on my age, saying she didn't know how to speak to me because I was older. The Managing Director was equally dismissive, offering nothing more than a grunt when I greeted him. Politeness costs nothing, regardless of rank. Beakbane offers no autonomy in your role, and career progression is limited unless you're in the right clique. Despite claims of high staff retention, a number of people left during my first week, and many more followed. A look into the company’s past reveals a high turnover rate, especially among Design Engineers. The company's future looks uncertain. While they produce quality products, poor management, lack of communication, and micro-management will likely lead to their downfall.
