Pros

100% COMMISSION!!!! PYRAMID SCHEME!!!!! NO PAY SCALE!!! LIARS!!! No pros. Management lies to you and make you believe you will be a millionaire when all they want is you to go out and make them money.

Cons

I worked here for few months and really thought this was going to be a great opportunity. You come in and see these people who are nice and friendly. But once you have been there for a while, you realize that these people don’t care about you, the boss in particular, they only care about making money off you. This job is a 100% scam. They say you can make up to 700 dollars a week when you start, building up to about 1200 dollars a week once you have been there for a while and learn the tricks. That’s all a complete lie. Even the best sales people are lucky to make 600 a week. They tell you all the time how lucky you are to be able to “dictate your own paycheck”. That’s all a lie. The customers do. You are a Door to Door salesmen, trying to get people to buy office supplies from Quill, which is the company you ultimately work for. Then they send you on “road trips”where you go to places and businesses that have never heard of Quill. They tell you everyone will love Quill and love salesmen (they don’t). Also the boss pays for your hotel. That might seem like a nice thing until you realize it’s a MOTEL not a hotel. You stay in these terrible and dirty motels for 5 days. Also you sleep in 1 room with 3 other people because the boss is cheap an could care less about you. All he cares about is his money and that’s all. This is a terrible company to work for. It’s a complete pyramid scheme. I strongly advise no one work here. They don’t care about you and will throw you under the bus at the drop of a hat.

Hello! Based on the excessive capitalization, punctuation, and false claims, this tells me something about working at our firm must have truly upset you. Overall your review seems to be quite offensive. Our results speak for themselves: Expanding 5 offices in 7 years. Consistently being recognized by our client as their top office. Consistently developing motivated individuals and providing them opportunities to grow in business. Most recently, being listed as one of the best and brightest companies to work for in Pittsburgh. We do pay our employees (I think it would be incredibly difficult to have been in business for 7+ years without doing so). We are not a pyramid scheme (I have outlined this below if you truly are confused by the difference in sales and a pyramid scheme). We do run road trips! you are correct there. We also do book each person their own bed. We also provide gift cards for compensation on those trips. If we had this magical land where everyone would love our client, we would just put our office there and not make it a road trip. So again, this seems to be misguided information. It is unfortunate that you had a negative experience. Just because you were unable to be successful does not mean something is a scam. I instead encourage you to reflect on yourself and seek improvement. Where can you get better? Where are your faults? How can you become better in business? So if you were looking for a response, congratulation, you got your response. I am having our HR team respond to your other claims below. Best, Brendan In response to your review.... 1. We are not 100% commission. We offer base + residual + bonus payment for OR commission + residual + bonus payment for entry level sales reps. This choice is made by the Sales Representative themselves after 2 weeks of training. If you chose the commission plan and did not receive the income you thought you should have, please contact us and we can review all submitted sales. If you chose the base package, you would have been compensated a flat base rate plus residual commission 2. Pyramid scheme... We must be on different wavelengths as far as what constitutes a pyramid scheme. We do account management and sales for our client. We do not do network marketing, nor do have a platform where people earn more off other people they train. So the only similarity we have to this is the fact that we do sales. We don't try to hide that. 3. No pay scale - I'm unsure what you mean here, since you said we pay "100% commission", yet now you claim there is no pay scale? Again, see my response in the first bullet. 4. Liars / You will be a millionaire - This seems silly to respond to, but I'll just say this on a public forum... you won't be a millionaire. If we were all millionaires that would be great. So perhaps we talked about some Powerball numbers one day, but besides that we do not promise anyone they will become a millionaire. My guess is you're confusing this with our workshops on financial management. Yes, in the day of high student loans and low wages, we try to educate our team on topics that are really looked over in the school system today. If you took offense to us attempting to better educate our team, than this company was definitely not a good fit. 5. Dictate your own paycheck - Yes! Each payment plan allows for performance based incentives. There is also a base salary option, as described above. We think this is a tremendous benefit for anyone who has ever worked in a capped environment where they could only make a certain amount. 6. Road trips / Hotels - I'm unsure what your experience may have been here, but we are happy to discuss this through email or in person. We do run road trips to areas outside of the city that it does not make sense to commute. We do also compensate for the mileage / meals and pay for the hotels ourselves. No, we do not book the Hilton, but we do book hotels that even the President of the company is comfortable staying at, as sometimes he goes on the trips with the team. We do not require team members to "sleep in 1 room with 3 other people". We provide as many hotel rooms as necessary. We hope this helps with any misunderstandings between yourself and the company. Again, it is unfortunate you had a bad experience with our company. We are always very open to speaking through email, phone, or in person. We find when people go on Glassdoor and use their anonymity to vocalize claims, they do this because the claims are false. Have a great day

Pros

Fun meetings at the beginning and end of each day.

Cons

Accepted job with the understanding I would be making decent money. Had weeks when my paycheck was less than $40. Cost me more in gas to go to work and drive around my territory than what I made in a paycheck.

Hello! We appreciate when an ex-employee provides feedback for our team in an attempt improve our performance. We use these reviews as a form of constructive criticism for the management team. Having said that, your review was not constructive, and frankly is quite disrespectful to the team here. Our team consists of business professionals with Bachelor's and Master's degrees from various universities across the country. To attempt to disrespect them and their hard work based on your short time with the company is quite offensive. We understand how the world of Glassdoor works today, with the ability to post anonymous reviews without any repercussions. However, this should be used to provide honest feedback to job seekers. Your review portrays nothing except for the obvious frustration you seem to be having in your career search. If you would like to speak with us about your time here, please reach out. We encourage ex-employees to also post on sites that are not anonymous so we can attempt to address any concerns (although we know most posters prefer to live in anonymity behind their keyboard). In summary, our organization has not been recognized as a top consulting firm (both regionally and nationally) because we lack morals. Our team is not consistently given recognition and awarded trips because they lack hard work and integrity. In the future when posting on these sites, be respectful, honest, and helpful to future job seekers. - Bealstone Management Team -
