The biggest advantage of this internship was the opportunity to work closely with front-line consultants. I learned how to conduct professional interviews, extract insights from large datasets, and translate findings into structured strategic recommendations. Through conducting over twenty interviews and designing multiple questionnaires, I gained hands-on experience in both qualitative and quantitative research. The team was highly professional, and the consultants were willing to share their expertise, which significantly accelerated my learning curve.
Cons
However, the level of strategic involvement was relatively limited for interns. Most high-level decision-making and strategy formulation were handled by senior consultants, while interns mainly focused on research execution, data synthesis, and presentation support.
