Pros
If you are at least a bit competent you can push up quickly to the middle ranks. It stops after that. If you want to just work and work and never have to think outside the box or innovate, this is your paradise.
Cons
Low pay if you haven't worked there a decade, nepotism, arbitrary rules and processes. General opposition to progress. Complete lack of talent in upper management. For the young and inspired, you will quickly realize that this is a dead end job. Amazing amounts of overhead.
