Pros

Absolutely nothing that I can think of...

Cons

There is constant middle and upper management level turnover. This health system does not represent the "Core Values" of what originated with the sisters of the St. Scholastica Monastery. Terrible administrators at the Duluth facility.

Pros

The mission and values are exceptional. The Vice Presidents and Directors are outstanding.

Cons

The managers and supervisors make working here unbearable. Micromanagement, unprofessional, unable to work as a team, unable to speak about work and bounce ideas and frustrations with other colleagues, tension runs thick in the air. A lot of turnover because of the environment the managers and supervisors bring.

Pros

The residents were the best thing, along with some dedicated front line staff.

Cons

Abusive work environment even at the top level. The dysfunction runs almost all the way to the top, I can’t speak for the CEO as I did not work directly with him. But the SVP I worked with was not trustworthy or supportive and engaged in gossip. That trickled down throughout the team. Sadly, the residents were not the focus from the top, money was. I can’t believe they can claim to be not-for-profit. Corporate refuses to raise wages to even minimally compete with the world class hospital down the road but then wonder why they ALWAYS have so many open positions. Not only aides but big positions like DONs, RN Supervisors, Admin, etc. Good nurses don’t stay because it is such a mess to clean up and not worth the money, and good administrators burn out trying to do the right thing despite the lack of corporate support and politics. The building is also falling apart and needs a massive overhaul including a repaired/replaced hvac system and complete remodel, which the company will never invest in. They are pricing themselves out of the market trying to rent subpar apartments for ridiculous $$.
