Awful place to develop a career
Pros
Good staff until you get to senior manager level Flexible working
Cons
Absolutely no investment in staff resource to develop and grow projects, always wanting to move onto the next shiny new idea before finishing anything. Every single department is under resourced. Every single department is under resourced. Complete mismanagement of priorities in favour of of profit. The customer experience is always last on the agenda. No career growth - you'll just be lumbered with more responsibility with minimal increase in pay and due to this increased workload you can't spend time on your own personal development. Glass ceiling for promotion - small company that has a set of senior managers in the leadership team that are well paid and under no pressure. All the pressure and work is done by the managers and executives in the teams, while the senior managers take any credit but none of the blame. It's a closed shop and anyone with any talent either leaves or becomes unhappy and stagnates. Run as a dictatorship - The Executive Board constantly make decisions on a whim, purely for their self-interest, without thinking of the impact on the staff. Worked on a difficult project for 6 months? Tough, we've moved on to something else. If you question the status quo, despite having a better way of doing things, you'll be cast out - removed from projects, given bad reviews, all to try and force people out, rather than manage effectively. Lack of culture - over the last 3 years there's been a complete removal of any time of company culture. It's just follow the Exec and deal with it. None of the company values are adhered to and just mentioned in lip service only.
