      Pros

      (I didn't work there in 2021- that's was just as early as it let me go?) I felt good about the work and what we were promoting. Never felt I had to be pushy, and I never felt pressured to bring a bunch of false leads in. Admissions is tireless WORK. But for one fall, my supervisor let me sublet an apartment in Brooklyn, and that made life easier, as NYC was my territory!

      Not many! I met some of the favorite friends and coworkers of my life there.

      –Passionate, intelligent coworkers who care deeply about their work –Institutional values that sound progressive and employee-focused on paper –Opportunities to contribute to meaningful work depending on the department or project –Generous holiday time off and PTO at exempt level –Generous 403(b) match (7.5% match if employee contributes 5%)

      Cons

      –Policies and procedures, specifically the anti-retaliation policy, are not followed if they pose a threat to the institution’s reputation –Lack of transparency and responsiveness when serious leadership or culture issues arise –High turnover at all levels suggests ongoing internal instability and possibly an issue with CEO –Employees working under problematic managers may find themselves unsupported despite formal policies –Unclear whether the college is on stable financial footing
