Pros

Friendly? Staff. Not really, because most of the staff is rude and condescending.

Cons

- Given minimum training, with unreasonably high expectations after training period. - The staff is always too busy with their own work, and newcomers mostly end up watching instead of being taught how to make sushi properly. - You are expected to finish a list of tasks within your shift, and if they are not finished, you must stay extra hours with no compensation. These tasks are impossible to finish for a newly hired employee on time. - Physically exhausting work for minimum wage. People who have worked their full time for more than 5 years complain of carpal tunnel and wrist injuries, which management has done NOTHING about. Many of them will have crippled hands for the rest of their lives. - You're expected to stand within a cramped space, and cannot lift heavy items safely using your arm and legs due to the lack of room. - If you are slightly clumsy and disorganized outside of work, don't bother with Bento. Time and speed is everything, and mistakes are unforgivable.

Pros

If you love to eat Sushi, this is the place to work.

Cons

I have been working more than 1 year, but there's no salary raise while the company demands more and more every day. Most of the sushi chefs have to work extra one hour without pay as the company demand more than normal people can do by the end of day. A chef has too many things to do withing limited time that most chefs do not take any break nor lunch. I believe this is illegal for the company to force us to work so hard. Most of the chef cannot speak English, therefore, no one is able to sue the company for illegal operation..
