Pros

-Clean Campus for the most part -Hourly Pay -Some nice students and faculty

Cons

-This place is ran like a business, not like a college -We have to get a certain quota of bringing students into the school -It is totally overpriced and I almost felt guilty by bringing these people into this school because none of them could really afford it -What made me leave was the students, having to see some of them complain about money issues was just to heart breaking. -This school is a scam, we had to constantly put students in a revolving door to keep them into the school, to make money off of them I guess

Pros

- There are opportunities to learn and increase your skillset, HOWEVER a lot of that depends on you becoming a "yes" man and company man and willingness to do a lot of high level work at a very undervalued pay rate and becoming part of your managers "pets" in order to be considered for advancement. - A majority of the professors are top notch - 35 hour work week - Early 1pm dismissal for summer Fridays

Cons

- Salary is under industry average - Cronyism and nepotism at its finest. Most of executive management retains or are promoted to their position because they are friends of the owners or related to someone higher up even though they severely lack the leadership and management skills their positions require. - Way too many chiefs and not enough indians. Everyone is a manager of some sort, a senior manager, a director, a senior director or a senior something. Some of the job titles are just ridiculous and are completely inflated and manufactured. There are so many needless positions taking up valuable dollars that it leaves very little budget to spend where those dollars would be better served. - Your first year will be miserable in regards to getting time off. Your first year you will accrue about a day a month. So say you started in March and want a 2 week vacation in July, nope. Also you wont get your allotted 17 PTO days until you've been here for a complete year from January to January. So again lets say your date of hire is March 2015 you will need to work 1 yr and 9 months before getting 17 days added to your PTO bank, that means you will not receive your 17 days of PTO until January of 2017! Until then you are basically accruing 1 day a month for a year and 9 months - Its bad enough the max salary increase is 2% (at least in IT) regardless of how well you perform, but then your reviews are always 1-2 years late! - Their recruitment practices are shady, doesn't seem to matter who or how they enroll students as long as they make their numbers - Company policies only apply to non management personnel. Management has sole discretion which policies they choose to apply or disregard when in their best interest. Because of this, filing legitimate complaints with HR against abusive management practices is futile and ends up with you being retaliated against by your superiors - Have to list this again since it is so critical. ZERO support from HR when it comes to employee issues. They will ALWAYS side with management. - Very poor interdepartmental communication - There is a saying here "There is the right way, the wrong way, and the Berkeley way". This is not a good thing as the Berkeley way just means it is nonsensical and involves wasting money - A lot of the equipment is severely outdated. We still have equipment from the early to mid 2000's hanging on to dear life. - More like an outdated company than a higher ed school

Pros

On the college side, friendly staff, made a lot of friends there. Corporate side is hard to be positive because of all the favoritism. Owners feel obligated to promote their friends and not the people who can better serve the company. I feel that the owners have given up and should sell the college...that would be the positive thing to do.

Cons

The owners promote the people there that have been there forever to executive positions that do not have the leadership skills or mind set to handle the position. The IT dept. is always chasing its tail and running in circles, making it a difficult working environment. Pick the correct people to lead and this place will take off. Also, raises were lowered and the bonuses were totally cut out of the picture.
