Ever since Richard Berman retired, the firm feels like a churn and burn location. With less than 20 employees, I've seen three employees let go in less than 6 months. Everyone seems overworked since they're understaffed and there isn't much direction from the partners on anything. There doesn't seem to be much professional growth, as most people here have had the same job title for a few years. The company values "being your own entrepreneur" but if you do things your way and not theirs, its wrong and they don't give you direction. They boast about how they don't micromanaging, but it's definitely on a more passive aggressive level instead. The firm also only allows one work from home day after 90 days of employment. Everyone seems like they're always working and work/life balance does not exist. You also only accrue 1.25 days of PTO per month and you don't get the week between Christmas and New Years off like most companies in the DMV area offer.
