Pros

None. Absolutely no pros or working for this company. They gouge you. Take advantage of your effort. Offer the opportunities you create to more seasoned employees, which is only accessible to one employee in the company, who, in my experience delivers good opportunities to his friends. B choice roofing sucks. I worked there for four months. And got slaughtered, both on my effort (spending gas money, buying into the promise of how good it can be and the culture of delivering the best opportunities to the company friends).

Cons

They employ people who are desperate for a job. They employ people who are willing to drive daily to scout damaged roofs and help them log those addresses into their database. They will not reimburse you for gas. They will make fun of you on their sales floor. They will offer nuggets of hope and never deliver. The sales managers will always get the bigger roofs (it’s engineered, and I have evidence of that). They will not honor any effort you make. The founder thinks he is Leonardo DiCaprio. But he’s not. He promises big. Delivers small. He’s ultimately a 5’6” dbag. He talks about your ability to make money, but will never let you make it on your own effort.

Pros

Good customer satisfaction and

Cons

This place is horrible! They run you ragged and pay when they want. They have in house leads that they charge you for, they charge you for measuring roofs to make them money, not to mention shirts cards and everything they possibly can. If management has the chance they will steal your deals and take your commission and there is nothing you can do about it!! Don’t expect to get a pay check either when you leave. They will have every excuse not to pay you. Lastly this company is just worried about recruiting. Everything they stand for and do is either contradictory or hypocritical. I do not recommend anyone working for this company!! You are a “independent sales rep” but treated as a employee. They also threaten to take you to court every chance they get even though your a independent sales agent. Do not go into this job broke because you will bury yourself further in debt waiting on money.

Do you have the money saved to survive your first month?

Pros

I'm sure it would have been a good job if you are very good at sales, and have money saved ahead of time.

Cons

The problem here is simple: they do not advertise their positions honestly. They failed to mention in the job postings, as well as during the hiring process, that you have to have money ahead of time to succeed. They do not provide you with any safety equipment what so ever. They do not provide you with a ladder to get onto the roofs you are supposed to be inspecting. The training is about 4 days long, and they teach you about how the roofs can be damaged, what's covered by insurance, and how to fill out their paperwork. The pay during training is 7.25 an hour (which I never actually received). To get started on this job, you need to have money saved to survive long enough to make money, and to purchase everything you need to do the job well. This is a very competitive company, and I witnessed people be shamed who weren't selling enough just starting out.
