Pros

- Team dynamic is great - Educational time - CEO seems ok (never met her) - Work/life balance is decent (unlimited PTO)

Cons

- Decent pay but it's not on par with the rest of the industry - Not a lot of opportunity to move up (too many seasoned people) - Fully remote (would love for it to be a hybrid role) - They got rid of our internet expense (right after raises) - Some leadership can be petty and bring you down

Flexible work environment but low pay and unclear culture

Pros

Hybrid. Flexible PTO good, but depends on your manager. Met a lot of good people there.

Cons

Pay is well under the market. Culture? Core values? I haven't seen either in practice, only talk. Very political. Some execs get whatever they want, at the expense of the company. Ego-driven people at high levels. Everyone's out for themselves. Some departments are way too siloed. Based on other reviews, this must be dependent on your department and/or manager, so I'd say that upper leadership (C level) needs to take a good look at how department heads are running their ship.

I agree that we have good people here. We have had a lot of success over the years, and our people have been the key to making that happen. In terms of reviewing how department heads run their areas, we do monitor via engagement surveys and performance against specific leadership and manager goals which helps us ensure that they are not only performing but engaging and developing their teams as well. Appreciate the review and best of luck in your future endeavors.

Pros

Decent comp and benefits CEO and several execs seemed great from limited, initial interactions

Cons

The comment below me, from a VP of Talent nonetheless, stating that BeyondTrust is not a good place for you if "you don't like to work hard", is exactly the kind of deep-seated arrogance that I experienced regularly during my short stint at BeyondTrust. The most egregious example, is when my hiring manager on Day 2 during training, referred to a coworker that I would regularly have to work with as "not the brightest bulb". How exactly do you then show up and operate for the team when this is the culture presented to you? Maybe some of us would prefer to work hard for a coherent business vision and/or nice people rather than working hard strictly out of fear. Furthermore, high importance flagged emails at 10:30 pm, that are anticipating a response that night when you're all of 3 weeks in, isn't "working hard". That's having zero work/life balance. And that's just one example.

I am sorry that your short experience with us was not a good one. The manager behavior you describe is unacceptable! We have several required manager training programs that focus on how to get the most out of teams by respecting, supporting and developing them. The activities you mention are far from what we teach and hold managers accountable to. Best of luck in your future endeavors.
