Pros

Great benefit package, outstanding # of PTO days & holidays, awesome 401k plan with company match and annual company discretionary contribution. Flexible work schedule with core hours. Several annual company sponsored events and personal choice educational and professional development package. Competitive salaries.

Cons

Rules are constantly being re-written and vary from department to department. Silo mentality and turf wars are constant at the higher echelon and certain department heads and directors tend to micromanage processes to their convenience and not towards the overall mission of the organization. The lower ranks feel under appreciated and want to contribute new ideas but are often dismissed when presenting the same. The membership - core to the organization seems to be flat or slowly dying (graying) therefore rather than gaining market share there seems to be a decline in the same.

There’s a bad moon on the rise.

Pros

None that I can think of.

Cons

BICSI has become a revolving door of employees. Good employees, who always put the members first, have either left or been terminated for no apparent reason. There seems to be a trend in which controlling forces are not in BICSI's best interest. This is another example where it is becoming less an organization by and for members, but a stepping stone for an individual who wants to insure themselves that BICSI is "their" organization and will rule it accordingly”.
