Pros

There is a full operating Biggby you can use for free and a gym membership to the building gym. 3 month paid sabbatical after 5 years with the company. Dress code is casual attire and the workplace is dog friendly.

Cons

Terrible pay and benefits, in the bottom 5% of pay average. There is insurance but it is not the best. Not enough sick and vacation time, and this is only granted after one year. Turnover is very high because there is a lack of appreciation and employees are very undervalued. The environment tends to be hostile and condescending.

A Worker's Nightmare

Pros

The only redemption is the incredible shift leaders at the store I worked at who were repeatedly exploited by their boss.

Cons

UNIONIZE THIS PLACE!!! They pay starvation wages (Starbucks pays $15 and local shops at least get decent tips) We got no scheduled breaks, paid or unpaid no matter how many hours you work. Constantly scheduling outside of multiple peoples availability. No store manager. No trainer nor do you get trained other than an 8 hour video that you watch at home. Any advocating for workers rights or your schedule to adhere to your availability will get you fired. People getting cut, burned and bruised left and right. Terrible safety standards. Calling in will get you fired (very inconsistent, no standards) Disgusting facility that is barely regulated by the "owner/operator". I tried to reach out to the home office and Samantha, the communications operator, told me directly that "home office is to help the owner/operator" and that they're "not able to offer specific guidance with employment". PLEASE TIP THE BARISTAS!!! SO MANY OF US WERE STRUGGLING FOR MONEY!! ONE OF MY COWORKERS *PASSED OUT* THE DAY THEY FIRED ME BECAUSE I CALLED IN *ONE TIME*.

Pros

1 free shift drink for 5+ hour long shift, 1 off-shift drink at 1/2 price when working 10+ hour a week Fun job, easy to do, usually friendly customer

Cons

LOW PAY - start at minimum wage and barely goes up Bad management at the particular store where I work, VERY high turn over rate for that reason; I really liked this job at first because I was working in the mornings and making great money in tips but everything has gone downhill in a very short time because of management.
