Pros

You will be exposed to many facets of employment, benefits, labor law, and reimbursement claims with the opportunity to research and address unique issues .

Cons

There is a revolving door of associate attorneys and staff. If the firm had an HR department, it would see more action than a superior court. This is a small firm with a three-person family partner/management structure that is not open to the promotion of non-partner attorneys.

Pros

The management at Bignault and Carter recognizes individual talent and performance. The workplace culture allows everyone to grow and develop professionally all while feeling valued. Employees at Bignault and Carter are encouraged to set career goals and then are further mentored and provided guidance in pursuit of said goals. Everyone is encouraged to do their best and is treated equally. There are many different jobs at Bignault and Carter but everyone is valued, from Interns to Attorneys. One of my favorite parts of working at Bignault and Carter is everyone's ability to grow into more responsibility no matter where you start, you can participate in a very diverse selection of work from administrative to legal. There is no doubt that working here allows you to gain invaluable experience and if ever need be, the ability to work in any workplace applying the skills you developed at Bignault and Carter. While at Bignault and Carter I have also developed a very well rooted network, to include both professional associations as well as personal relationships. I have never seen someone be so compassionate to so many of their employees as I have seen the partners of Bignault and Carter. Not only do I consider them good attorneys, good leaders but amazing people. Paschal Bignault and Lori Carter have more times than anyone could count been there showing support to anyone who needs them. This firm positively impacts everyone who associates with it, employees, clients, other businesses alike. Be assured Bignault and Carter sets a great example in our community.

Cons

There is a high level of co-dependency and everyone's work has real-world consequences. The workload can be demanding but retains its value in the gained experience.
