Pros

The people you work with on a store level

Cons

Management are all besties which makes it impossible to get correct help when area managers are bullies, staff just leave instead of bothering to complain as they know the circle of friends in higher management will all protect one another.

Pros

Seriously the only pros would be the annual surf day which is a day sitting on the beach and getting paid and the annual out of control christmas party where everyone drinks way to much and lets loose. Oh and I guess I could also mention the stopping work by 4pm on a Friday and everyone drinking while doing nothing productive.

Cons

Silo operation - Brands in the portfolio don't work well together, so many incompetent people working for the company that will frustrate the majority of intelligent people. Very much "who you know" to get anywhere, totally incompetent HR Manager who lacks vision and stands in the way of most innovation. A lot of role duplication across the multitude of brands in the portfolio, lots of general money waste and mismanagement - everyday the corporate office has walls knocked down or built and furniture moved from one place to the next instead of putting money into

Pros

good discount. ok clothing items. Customers are great and a joy to serve. Thats really about it.

Cons

very hypocritical head office, telling you to not be friends with your peers, yet most of them are in relationships with each other. Unachievable targets, hardly any recognition for hard work. Often expected to work long hours that aren't paid as your on a salary, but you don't get time back for it. Hardly any training they just expect you to know the processes. The culture is very much in trouble, very "mean girls" attitude from a store level with management being the main issue. Team members often talk about one another and played against each other by management.
