Pros

Big name company to put on resume Decent office space Casual dress code Free snacks- major red flag that this is a perk

Cons

If you’re a competitive candidate- trust me when I say you can get a better job at an equally reputable company. Billboard and THR is led by incompetent leadership who know little to nothing about the music/entertainment industry and digital space. The parent company MRC/Valence (led by two Harvard B-School guys who are in it for the $$$) will likely relocate everyone to LA or fire all leadership until they replace with their friends. There is no transparency, direction, or quarterly goals. No room to grow, turnover is high. Each department and brand is in it for themselves. No collaboration or team atmosphere. Everyone entry level and mid-tier is miserable, and often say “at least there’s free snacks!” ***HR has zero power and will not fire anyone who is a threat to employees. Stay the hell away from this place. Don’t let an interview filled with buzzwords and sexy brands fool you

Pros

lots of industry perks and good snack options

Cons

HR loves to distract from their nonsense policies with silly social hours. I'd much rather have my summer Fridays back. lots of strange lay offs and firings lately has lost trust and job security. very weird vibe.

Pros

Get to rub elbows with celebrities

Cons

Neopitism, titles mean nothing, a lot of rookies, a lot of suck ups who don't deserve to be where they are but they're one of the "cool kids" or a relative/friend of the president of the company, revolving door with someone having going-away drinks several times a month (and the company isn't even that big)
