    I worked at Biogen full-time

    Pros

Great culture, great salary, great bonuses and other incentives

    Cons

At times there are political plays over ownership of various tasks and projects. Some employees will try and position themselves as leaders of these projects at the expense of colleagues.

    Advice to Management

Focus on the benefits each employee brings to the company at all times.

I worked at Biogen full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Good product pipeline, respected in MS specialty area, Above average salary and benefits, good reward program and work / life balance for Sales Reps

    Cons

Too much change in Leadership team. Some directors are not honest and truthful as per the credo of the company and will lie to protect themselves. No support to help whistle blowers who are dedicated to the company's values. No respect for opinions of long standing employees. A bad egg in a powerful position can destroy the career of loyal and trusting employees and it seems that no one cares.

    Advice to Management

Be careful who you appoint to Leadership positions, Non-Pharma background leaders do not understand this industry and may not follow the values and responsibility entrusted to them but will lie and use their power to protect themselves as I found.

I worked at Biogen full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

People - simply put I loved working with most of the people at BIIB and learned so much about what to do *(and what not to...) They do inspire me still!

    Cons

Lack of courage - MGT in general play "get along to move along" and generally will not challenge each other to be accountable for the good of the right decision. Instead they spend most of their time talking with each other in Governance Boards that make no decisions hampering the common employee to execute

    Advice to Management

Listen to the people around you!

I have been working at Biogen full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The thing I like the most is that Biogen has a strong ethical code, the compliance department works hard to ensure that patient’s information is Not being used for other purposes than providing the best service for patient’s compliance to treatment. Besides, working for a company that specializes in neuroscience offers the possibility to have broad knowledge about one field and to get to know well the diseases and the...

    Cons

Since they work with severe and very disabling diseases, patients usually are very demanding and many challenging questions arise during the advisory process.

    Advice to Management

Get responses faster. Sometimes the consulting process regarding issues with access takes too much time and the patient experiences great anxiety because they fear their treatment to be interrupted

    Cons

No room for growth, declining morale, management has their heads up their butts

    Advice to Management

Your best people are leaving in droves. Figure it out since it’s not rocket science. Your employees are the most vital asset to the company.

I have been working at Biogen full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Nice, hardworking and smart people. Work with patients in mind

    Cons

Too many processes and they are always changing and being updated. The company is bleeding talent. So many people have left. The morale is low. I had heard they may cancel the Globoforce program due to costs. That will bring down morale even more. They need to work harder to keep people

I have been working at Biogen full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

With its large size comes competitive benefits, and above average salaries (although these have slipped against competitors).

    Cons

Steeped in unnecessary processes. Too large to make much of a difference, Morale very low lately, everyone expecting a lot of change to happen.
