Unfortunate circumstances

Pros

- Great co workers who are genuinely good people - Department managers who can be tough at times, but care for the success and wellbeing of the employees they oversee. - Very low employee cost for health, dental and vision insurance - Standard vacation accrual of 6.66 hours a month (not a pro but not a con. Just a standard rule a lot of companies follow)

Cons

- Low pay for excessive hours. - Too many unhappy customers where management will not step in to resolve the issue. - Employees are not valued as much as they should be. - No 401k - Unless you happen to work with each department, there is essentially no communication or social interaction among the employees. You basically get to know your department and that's it. - You will never exceed, let alone even meet, the CEOs expectations. - 60% turnover rate in less than a year I poured my heart and soul into my job, worked during every day off that I had and still it wasn't enough.

Company that Cares Little About Employee Happiness

Pros

- This company will give you a foot in the door into the IT, biometrics, and technology field with little to no prior experience, but will be very demanding to your time. Every employee works a minimum of 45-60 hours a week. - For anyone who wants to find work in a new industry this job is great for that. Quite a few fellow coworkers either had no formal education in the IT/Tech industry or had little to no experience in the field prior. - Quite flexible with time off.

Cons

- Very low pay, extremely demanding of your time. No work/life balance. - Management cares very little about employee happiness, doesn't consult any of the employees prior to making decisions. - Employer hires people without prior experience and does not provide any job training. The job training is essentially you going through a powerpoint alone, and taking an online quiz to determine if you know the ins and outs of the company's products and software. - Turnover rate is extremely high, very few employees last to a year or even beyond that. - Little to no company events or outings. We do celebrate birthdays once a month, but thats about it. - Very economical company, first job that I've had to bring my own supplies to work. - Everyone is required to work a minimum of 45 hours a week, with hourly pay.

Biometrics4ALL takes all employee inputs seriously, including those that no longer work for us. Biometrics4ALL provides opportunities for individuals who have demonstrated or shown the potential characteristics of becoming a successful employee in a company with very sophisticated software servicing a mission critical industry. Those that have been successful in the company exhibited a sense of urgency, responsibility, and thrives on achievements. In fact, some of our most technical and best employees did not have direct IT or software experience prior to joining Biometrics4ALL. They succeeded and surpassed their peers by demonstrating their ability to learn and apply technical knowledge to achieve exceptional results. Additionally, very substantial bonuses and raises were paid out every holiday to about half of the company that have performed well throughout the year. Biometrics4ALL does not require any employee to work overtime; however, we do provide an environment where employees desiring to spend extra time perfecting their skills to achieve exceptional results can do so without obstacles. All employee work hours were set using the employee’s own time request prior to becoming an employee, and hours are adjusted periodically at employee’s request. Over achievers do tend to work longer hours; however, some of our star performers work between 40 and 42 hours per week. More than half of the employees worked less than 42 hours per week and no hourly employee work more than 50 hours per week. Furthermore, Biometrics4ALL provides all employees with full medical coverage and at least 3 weeks of Paid Time Off (PTO). Biometrics4ALL cares a great deal about all employee’s happiness and work environment. This is the reason, the company spent an extensive effort to ensure an awesome work space with pool table, air hockey table, outdoor soft seating area for lunch and breaks, free soda, fully automatic espresso machine, instant hot and cold water dispenser, dishwasher, microwave ovens, toaster oven, high-end office chairs (Herman Miller or Human Scale), and large cubicles and offices. During the last few months, Biometrics4ALL hosted a company holiday party with thousands of dollars of raffle gifts, white elephant gift for all employees in the office, a pool tournament with prizes for the winners, company logo shirts for all employees, monthly birthday cake celebration, random ice cream or desert breaks, lunch party for our anniversary, a skating event, and K1 speedway go-kart racing. We certainly provide ample office supplies and have purchased all reasonable office supplies upon request. However, we do not have the ability to distribute office supplies to employees who do not ask; nor do we prevent any employee to bring their own special office supplies if so desired. We do believe in not wasting resources as any responsible company should. In addition to training videos, documentations, and quizzes; Biometrics4ALL also provides a triage tool with extensive knowledge base. Furthermore, in 2017, our Support Department (the department you were in) has received weekly classroom training without exception, and a few of those training were conducted by the President/CEO. Our historic turnover rate in Support Department is on par with the industry average and companywide better than the industry average. Turnover in the Support Department is inevitable since exceptional support members moved up to our Quality Control team (several have) and we now have a program that provides a direct career path to software development for exceptional Support team member with a Computer Science College Degree. Those that do not perform well, will likely part ways with the company at some point as expected. As with most IT companies, we are constantly looking for new ways to conduct interviews that can help us identify winners more accurately. In 2017, we reassessed all of our past interview techniques and brought back an interview method which we believe was the most successful of the dozens of methods we have used over the past decade. Regardless, we will continue to refine our interview process for years to come. In summary, Biometrics4ALL has achieved a 12 consecutive years of 20 to 25% annual growth. This is the direct result of the performers we have acquired, trained, and groomed over the years. We are very proud of our achievements and our performers; we will continue to find ways to make it even better . We thank you for your comments and we will certainly take all of your inputs into consideration and make our company even better.

Pros

Was not there long enough to see any pros. Just beware when you first interview is 3 to 4 house long.

Cons

Where do I start huh.... I'll list them all 1. Training... There is none, they put you in a room send you email on what you need to do an half the link don't even work. We need to wait until the hiring manager come in to help and that still no help. 2. When you ask for help from your coworkers regarding training materials sent to us they pretty much didn't have a clue. 3. Every one i spoke to seem to be there no more then 3 to 4 months and seem to be lost. 4. Everyone also seem to no older 24 or 25 5. There is no leadership there until one executive comes in at 10 or 11 am.

Support Department does tend to attract younger workforce; however, age is certainly not a determination of the employee's ability to perform IT functions.
