Pros

-Used to have excellent benefits which were slowly eroded over the years but were still above industry average -Make great connections -Opportunity to travel pre-Covid

Cons

-Work/life balance went out the window after Covid and the hiring of new CEO -No trust in direction of the company among staff; morale at an all-time low -Mass firing of 1/3 of the company in 2021 left teams in turmoil that persisted into 2022 -Senior leadership dominated by “strong personalities” which caused unnecessary drama

Pros

New office location downtown is convenient

Cons

-The new CEO continuously shows poor judgement. She hires “professionals” that can’t even make it a year (COO lasted 8 months, Chief Marketing Officer lasted 10 months, etc.). Her new Chief People Officer has NEVER DONE HR. -CEO has turned BIO into her own private pr machine and the entire comms department is focused on getting her press coverage and Speaking opportunities everywhere, even on issues not biotech related. -BIO’s mission used to be all biotech all the time, our CEO (and board chairman) have placed us squarely in every random Social justice issue she can. She uses her post as a bully pulpit to spout about whatever injustice gets her the most press. -There’s no room for growth or advancement, it’s just a fact.

Pros

There were tons of good things to mention under previous CEO but now with a crazy one in charge that most people are in fear or running away, getting laid off or pushed out nothing good to note/mention

Cons

There used to be good benefits, great management, excellent VP of HR, amazing CFO (the current one is insane CFO micromanager in a dictatorship mode). Don't look for a job at BIO as it's not what it used to be, unfortunately.
