I worked at Bit Mapper as a hardware design engineer for more than 3 years. It proved to be a great learning experience for me. Because it is a small company with flat hierarchy, you get plenty of opportunities to get yourself involved in anything and everything . If you are hungry for work and keen to learn , then sky is the limit.It gives a lot of exposure and responsibility to an individual from the very beginning, right from dealing with clients (which are renowned scientist of defense organizations) to taking very crucial decisions during board designing. The peer group is very helpful and supportive. We believed in working hard and then partying harder.

I have been working a Bitmappers for than a year as mechanical design engineer. Following are some points that I feel makes bitmappers a better place for career and experience seeking people Flat Hierarchy: This allows access to nearly every employee to every other employee in the company, making knowledge sharing far more convenient. Anyone can have their doubts cleared from the technical director or the design head. he mechanical department, being considerably new addition to the company; allows exposure to all aspects and real world problems from thermal, structural and manufacturing fields. Also there are plenty of opportunities to develop better processes than ones that are existent. Technical Development: The Company allows an immense scope of technical development mainly because being a design house, the company continuously in search of possibilities of improving existing processes leading to new technology being involved most projects handled. Culture: At Bit mappers all the colleagues allow helpful discussions and share experiences from previous projects very freely, this is particularly beneficial for freshers who are not acquainted with industrial practices; especially in countries like India. Other Activities: The Company has initiatives for participation in varied athletic events and also supports some of its employees in marathons and cycling events, co-organizing events like Pune Running – A half marathon with thousands of participants, etc.
