Pros

The factory has walls and roofs, when its raining it can keep you dry. All jokes aside, I tried to find pros for this company, not with much success. No pros at all.

Cons

Incompetent, toxic management. For some reason this company has large number of "managers" and they are about to hire even more. Nepotism and cronyism is their basic principle for hiring new staffs. Managers are mostly mediocre uneducated, incompetent people without any leadership skills or common sense with complete lack of empathy. Lying to people, bullying and harassing them is very common at every level of this company. They can fire you anytime without any real reason. You are disciplined, and you are out. End of story. It's a dead end job anyway. No chance for real progress, no matter what they promised to you. Unless you were hired as a friend or relatives of them.

Pros

Used to be a secure job (not any more). Friday afternoons off.

Cons

This former family business is now run by poor, weak-minded managers who rely heavily on threats and bullying to vainly attempt to maximise profits at all costs. Since being bought out by investors, the life and soul of Blatchford has been squeezed out of it - Managers don't care about employees, the products or the patients, only how to maximise profits. The best employees have either left or have been made redundant, leaving VERY few competent employees working there, who are all too scared of senior management to make a positive difference.

Pros

There are no pros anymore

Cons

This used to be a great place to work, although a culture change was needed and some deadwood needed removing. However the senior management have gone about this all wrong - been pushed by the investors to strip and save money so they can sell on. The CEO was demoted but kept on - bad move as he’s recruited an inexperience team who’s knees would tremble at standing up to him, even if they knew his decisions were wrong. They did have a solid committed team before that but this was obviously a threat. Management are untrustworthy- they’ve treated staff with no consideration during the pandemic. Lied outwardly and made redundancies with a stealth like manner, simply to ensure they make maximum profit rather than standing by their remaining loyal staff. Bullying is one of the core values of this company, which is ignored and allowed by senior Hr. It’s sad to see its demise.
