Pros

The company culture is extremely welcoming. Upon joining the team only 2 months ago, the wide open arms from all the team members helped me to become comfortable working with my new peers and in a hybrid environment. The brands/clients dealt with at this agency are super interesting and full of new projects, which is a nice change of pace when looking back at the rigidity of larger companies.

Cons

One con I can think of would be commuting into NYC can be hectic with the traffic/trains, however, the flexibility of working in a hybrid environment (in-person 3 days) helps break up the work week and provides a better work/life balance.

Pros

As someone whose first role at a media agency was fully remote, I left and came to Block & Tam in hopes of creating deeper connections with my peers and supervisors. Since I started at B&T, my colleagues and Senior Management have done nothing but exceed my expectations. Everyone here cares for one another both personally and professionally. Upper management has fostered a community that really values each individual and their growth within the company. Unlike typical larger agencies, you are able to expand your skill sets very quickly. Position level aside, everyone is welcome to jump into tasks or trainings. Management is receptive to any needs/requests and eager to help you grow in areas you are most interested. With so many different clients, B&T provides exposure that is incomparable to other agencies. I truly feel as though I have learned more in my 4 months at Block & Tam than in 1 year at my previous company. Overall, B&T provides amazing opportunities for team members to move up in their careers while also creating strong relationships. A very rare place to be!

Cons

It is mandatory to be in the NYC office 3 days a week, and this may not appeal to everyone. However, we have unlimited PTO!!!! and management is understanding when it comes to WFH day requests.

Pros

Everyone feels genuinely nice, friendly, and gets along really well. There's no office politics to worry about. And there isn’t a sense of hierarchy that I felt in my previous agency. There are lots of opportunities to learn and grow. You're not stuck in one role or task like most big agencies. I was able to broaden my skill set and gain diverse experiences. Working with renowned fashion clients is also a highlight, which are really pleasant to work with for the most part. The office space is nice. It’s in a Wework located in SoHo. Very accessible by train and buses. There are plenty of great food options around, making lunchtime fun. We also get to choose the snacks we buy monthly, which is a small perk that adds joy to our workdays. There’s a good amount of social events for team bonding. The leadership team is transparent and approachable. They genuinely care about us and are open to discussions and feedback. Compensation is great. Unlimited PTO is great. Employee turnover is low. The company is growing, doubled in size within the past year.

Cons

While some may find the hybrid three-day office a bit much, it's actually nice to spend time with colleagues in person. Face-to-face interaction enhances productivity and effective communication. However, there are flexibility from work-from-home requests when necessary. Plus we rarely have to work pass work hours.
