Pros

The positions are fully remote. That’s it.

Cons

There’s an alert on Bloom’s landing page that explicitly states Glassdoor has evidence they are faking reviews. I fully believe the good reviews on here are inflated by Bloom, come from people who are favorites, or who make Bloom their entire personality. Pay was too low for the amount of work, metrics, and oversight involved. People with 10, 15, 20 years of customer service experience were paid less than McDonald’s employees. Recruiters lied about the opportunities - or lack thereof - to get a wage increase. Managers picked favorites, so there were times when people would ask for help or request their lunch break and be ignored, while others received immediate answers. It was embarrassing as grown adults to have to for ask permission to use the bathroom in our own homes. Not everyone got the opportunity to get licensed, which meant a lot of reps weren’t able to legally answer customer questions while making less money than others on the team. Full time hours were cut down to barely anything. Imagine logging in to your schedule and suddenly seeing 2 days instead of 5 with no warning. Managers would just reduce hours without telling you. We later found out that too many people were hired and the way the company chose to fix their mistake, was to cut full timers who were already trained and working for months. Only select people received offers to keep their jobs at the end of enrollment, regardless of performance or quality scores. Favorites and suck ups got offers. Those who didn’t were told in a public forum, not privately, that they’d have to apply to their role again and fight for their job. So humiliating and dehumanizing.
