Pros

- Large agency with whole funnel under roof - great exposure - Lots of perks (drinks, food) - Great out-of-house training (NGEN, Roy Morgan)

Cons

- Staff bled, especially lower levels (10 hour days average) - Clique-y environment - Improper in-house training (learning from those just above you, not management) - Lack of support (stress management)

Pros

Good opportunity for networking. Lots of free lunches/drinks and other products.

Cons

Very poor training received. Horrible work/life balance - being forced to work unreasonable amounts of overtime every week with a great reluctance for managers to approve sick time and annual leave.

A great introduction to media

Pros

Blue449 (now Spark Foundry) had an excellent training program for new starters, with regular lunches dedicated to development and activities to boost rapport amongst the team. There was a social committee who planned events and also lots of events associated with publishers and NGEN, the MFA's program to support early-career media professionals.

Cons

The pay was very low (although it was industry standard) and the day to day work experience and culture varied depending on what team you were in, much like any other large company.
