Pros

This is a great place for the people who have been here 5+ years. For everyone else.... there is good and bad. It's an OK environment, not outright abusive. No short tempers, no crazy people. The physical Office is OK - for the most part you have what you need to be comfortable and do your job. Not a lot, and sometimes no windows or privacy depending on where you sit. Pay seems fair for most positions. Good health benefits and the RRSP benefit is great. The company often hireds students and co-ops, which in my opinion is a pro, for the company and the people who work here, but more on below.

Cons

In my opinion, this company has a revolving door problem. People last a few months and then leave or are let go. If you're thinking about applying here and get hired here, I suggest you keep your resume ready and stay on your toes. Keep sending resumes even after you're on board. If you're hired, in my opinion you likely won't be here long. Most new hireds aren't. Use this place as a way to get some experience, or to fill a gap while you find something else. If you're looking for a long-term, stable job, a place to put down roots, this ain't it. New people are not welcome here. You will hear about how this place is a 'work family' and about how everyone is very close. This is true, but only for the old timers. The leadership team here don't see past their own experience. They don't see how it is for other people. Unclear on if they just don't care to, or just aren't able to. Work here for 1, 2 or even 3+ years and you'll still be an outsider. If you take a job here, make sure you have great connections with people outside work (family, friends, social life.) You won't fill that need here. In my opinion, some leaders here have checked out and just don't care, leaving others to run the company and make major decisions. Again, in my opinion, those other people don't have level of maturity or experience needed to handle the responsibilities they are given. In my experience, there is a severe lack of leadership, focus and guidance from the people who built the company. Co-op students - get ready to work hard, but from what I see, it looks like you'll be worked to the point of exploitation. It'll be great for your resume, but don't plan to stay here past your work term. Get that experience, get a recommendation and GET OUT. Depending on your role here, expect little to no help or training. Someone new in another department once told me that they felt like they showed up at a worksite to build a house, but were given no blueprints. And then later on, I guess the new person didn't "build the house" to the manager's vision, so they were let go. It's sad. Life's not fair, but it should not be like this. It is wrong to do this to people.

Terrible place to work

Pros

Nothing great, highly stressful environment and very backwards thinking

Cons

Just run the culture is terrible and the organization is cheap. Everyone at the organization pretends to smile but act like children with office politics. One person is expected to a job of 10 people. Working late is expected of you and if you leave on time you won't be there for long.
