Pros

Remote work - but this is truly a con. Even if on rare occasion there is an in person event you will sit in a room on Zoom and overkill on meetings to make up for being remote.

Cons

Blue Wheel creates a facade for the public but truly at the heart of it doesn't care about their clients, employees or partners. I witnessed employees being treated less than a number and referral partners being screwed over for BW's gain. Their recent merge with Retail Bloom is the blind leading the blind & while BW remains the name of the company it's all for show that feeds into Eitan's need for praise and accomplishment along with the rest of leadership. Behind the scenes RB is slowly taking over and calling the shots. Leadership micromanages to a degree of destroying employee confidence & controlling even minor tasks but will bait & switch you when something falls on them. You're not empowered to grow or do your job- you're treated as an administrative assistant to your department head. Unqualified leadership who don't have a background in managing sales teams or even being a salesperson theirself anywhere else will take your ideas and pretend they were theirs. A cult-like leader clique creates a bubble for promotion and everyone else is secondary. You quickly learn not to bother having an opinion because if it's not aligned with theirs you'll be insulted and berated. You'll be tested, given no support then blamed for when you don't succeed while management is given more tools and resources. I've never worked anywhere as toxic as this agency who pretends to be different than the rest and want whats best for their clients when in reality they just want their money and will literally MAKE UP a service, sell it and then "figure it out" later. Lack of organization, accountability or any structure that stands longer than 1 week before changed again. They'll blame you for "not being open to change" but this allows them to change procedures weekly even daily and noone is accountable. Clients dont stay and are always to blame.- never BW. They'll dangle carrots of promotion but don't fall for it unless you're part of the original clique. I've never experienced a manager who was given the title just to do the dirty work for their VP but here at BW it's commonplace. Outside of the clique supporting managers are just glamour titles that hold no decision power and are kept in the dark from making any true change. Leadership gatekeeps everything and employees aren't trusted to do their job even with years of experience.

Pros

I've learned that I'm way more valuable than this company gave me credit.

Cons

If overworked and underpaid had a picture, it would be Blue Wheel Media. The promise is inspiring, but it's just a gimmick. This also coincides with their promises to clients. This company loses clients left and right because they aren't willing to put in the work to make their clients successful. If you have ideas that would require the teams to do more work, you'll be bullied out of them. If you're looking to gain knowledge by attending seminars, you will not be supported. This company is only good for an internship and that's it. Employee respect is nonexistent and because there isn't a proper HR department you have two choices: deal with it or leave. Healthcare coverage and PTO is a joke. It's disgusting when your CEO bashes your CFO behind their back in front of the entire company and is verbally abusive to their employees. I would highly recommend employment seekers and clients to invest their money and time somewhere else.

This Place Ruined My Life

Pros

I'll say this. Because the pace was so break-neck, I did end up learning a lot in a short amount of time (mostly on my own, I never heard of the end of it when I asked for help). Even though I didn't have what it takes to succeed there, I went into my new job much more prepared and knowledgeable.

Cons

First of all, at least in my department, their salary range is WELL BELOW the average salary range in Michigan, let alone nationwide. You wouldn't think that with the expectations and workload though. You're given more work than you can reasonably handle, and there's no support because your manager has so much on their plate. It’s impossible to delegate work because specialists are also slammed with too many things. Which in my experience translated to a culture of fear where I was always afraid to ask for help because I was ‘taking others away from their work’. If you want to take care of your mental and physical health, avoid this place at all costs. There really are better jobs out there. My new job ended up being more junior than the role I had at Blue Wheel, but somehow, my salary is way higher. The people actually don't give you a hard time if you need extra support and give you the tools you need to succeed, whereas at Blue Wheel, I always felt like I was being set up to fail and constantly thrown under the bus when things inevitably went south.
