questionable business practices, turning into Sports Chalet

Pros

None other than the typical ski shop perks. And even then, not that many.

Cons

Extremely questionable business practices from the CEO and owner. Lots things just don't add up or make sense. Poor pay, maybe the worst in the region. Broken promises left and right. They are NOTORIOUS for not paying bills, either on time or at all. Store level management gets very little support, and has to take on much of the responsibilities for bad decisions from the top. The e-commerce sales are given priority over in store customers. If you want to work at a real outdoor shop, don't work here.

Great Leaders Be Ware!

Pros

At the surface level Bluezone stores have some of the great outdoor brands many of us love from ski, bike and wake. The employees are good (but are lacking structure, leadership, and investment in their growth) Which is one of the major problems with the company (steming from one person....the CEO)

Cons

If you’re considering a leadership role at this growing company, proceed with caution. Although I didn’t leave Bluezone in 2024, I’ve observed a troubling pattern: talented individuals who work directly with the CEO often leave due to the poor management style and disorganization that permeates the company. The issues are widespread, including unpaid bills, a lack of employee training and clear structure at all levels, and an apparent absence of empathy and leadership. This review serves as a warning to anyone considering a position that requires close collaboration with the CEO—you will quickly realize how poorly the organization is managed. Is there potential for improvement? Absolutely. However, meaningful change would require replacing the current CEO to create a foundation for success beyond the mediocrity that currently defines the company. It is obvious that the Owner has seen great people leave the company again and again (and have informed him of the problems) but yet the CEO remains so.....what does that say about the owner? BE CAUTIOUS
