Pros

* Close knit team * Ownership of your work. (no cog-in-the-machine mentality) * Leadership opportunities * Positive team atmosphere that encourages self-awareness and honing of skills * The talent and experience at Bluepoint are hard to find at most studios. Many people have 15+ years experlence, some have ten years more than that. Despite the immense experience, the group consists of people always willing to learn, adapt and above all encourage a positive work environment for everyone. * The opportunity to work on popular franchises that you probably wouldn't get to touch anywhere else. * A view of the river and Pennybacker bridge that is usually worthy of a framed photo. * Stocked kitchen and an HR team that feel a lot like family.

Cons

* Every company has its cons. The one's you will find at Bluepoint will be consistent with any studio that constantly tries to push the envelope. Making games is hard.

Bluepoint cares about the games that it builds. It is extremely detail-focused and pushes for each product to be better than the last. Bluepoint also cares about its employees and works to empower individuals. There is always something interesting in development. The opportunities, challenges, and stability have made Bluepoint the best place to work.

Cons

Build a stronger vision for the future to rally people behind.

Pros

- My coworkers are passionate about what they do! - Get to work on tech and art solutions to bring older games that most gamers love to new technology. - Since game-play in our projects are well known, we spend lots of energy/manpower on graphics well beyond what everybody expects - Managers care about work-life balance, and try to make finishing a game as painless as possible. There's rarely crunch, but it's only right at the end of a project and not month after month after month like other teams I've been on. - Lots of company events to blow off steam and relax, even when things get intense - Lots of individual responsibility - Catered lunches and dinners if we do end up crunching - Leads give you flexibility to dabble in other skills and groups - A culture driven by quality

Cons

- Some office politics, but I guess that's normal - Like anywhere, sometimes you have to put in some extra hours if you're missing a dead line, but its not unrealistic.
