Pros

Remote work, a handful of competent individual contributors

Cons

Bluesight's leadership is just a bunch of men who never grew out of bro culture. If you are not a member of the bro club, good luck getting anything moved forward or your work recognized in any real or meaningful way. They do NOT value their employees and completely ignore their expertise, taking a dictatorial approach to "leadership". Many middle managers feel like their hands are tied, and they cannot effect positive change because of this, despite having some excellent ideas. This private equity-backed company is SOLELY focused on profit. They nickel and dime their way to achieve "cost savings" to the detriment of both customers and employees. Don't be fooled by them having "honor the customer" listed in their values - they do NOT care one bit about customer success in any way, shape, or form. CS lives under Sales and should just be called what it really is - revenue growth/upsells and renewals. There is no strategic partnerships with customers outside of "how much money can we squeeze out of you". Company culture is toxic. They dictate that you must be on camera for all meetings and will call individuals out in public if you are "caught" with your camera off (and managers are asked to actually patrol this!!). Every relationship building activity feels forced, like "haha! Look at how cool we are! Look at how much fun we're having!". And you better have a karaoke song in your back pocket because the CEO has a weird obsession with everyone participating in karaoke at company offsites.

Pros

-work from home -decent insurance

Cons

-leadership mindset of money > everything (and I mean everything). complete lack of values in leadership / strategy. opposite of a mission-driven organization. they may tout a mission on the website, but it's clear working here that the only mission in money. -strategy is purchasing the competition vs being the best / most innovative / having great customer experience. price gouge our health systems now that they’ve managed to almost wholly corner the market. -basically only men in power / decision-making positions. even if you see women with leadership looking titles, they are not empowered at all. see other post referencing dictatorship. -cringey “culture” if you can even call it that. companywide meetings are actually marketing to employees to try to sell them on bluesight not being a dumpster fire of pure evil. -below market salary. bluesight is painfully cheap despite financial backing they will even make you beg for a full zoom license. would not have believed a company could be as cheap as bluesight if I didn’t see it with my own eyes. -treat employees like numbers, not human beings. especially acquired employees, and this of course has the individuals not fired at acquisition resigning as soon as they can find other jobs much to the detriment of the client base.

Pros

Flexible schedule and Remote work

Cons

The company prioritizes revenue over employee well-being, customer service, or even their technical product, often making short-sighted decisions that negatively impact the company overall, that they'll hide in revenue gains. The CEO is out of touch with both employees and the reality of daily operations, leading to ineffective decision-making and a lack of clear direction. The CTO is stretched too thin, resulting in reactive decision-making and constant fire-fighting instead of proactive technical leadership. HR lacks the knowledge and capability to support employees effectively, often disregarding concerns or handling issues poorly. The company presents an image to customers that doesn’t align with reality, often overpromising and underdelivering on commitments.
