Enjoyed the benefits and co-workers but flat corporate structure, conflicts of interest, and a boys club
Pros
My coworkers were the best even though most are overworked. Good benefits, 401k, PTO, etc
Cons
Management does very little work while employees work long hours to make up for the lack of help. Serious conflicts of interest within the digital marketing department. My manager would both create the budget for our paid for digital ads accounts and reap the benefits of digital sales based upon decisions he made with the budget, by getting a bonus using company money to direct more people to make purchases in channels where he benefitted. There needs to be a separation here. Felt like a very shady and unfair way of doing business and no one was willing to listen to me so I'm writing this months later after quitting. Another gripe was the amount of websites that the company has and expected me to work on, but my manager would reply that we needed all of them for "SEO." While everyone struggled to support the immense number of websites we had for literally no reason other than the fact that my manager created most of them years ago and didn't want to give them up. I doubt he even knew a thing about search engine optimization was, as he would always have my coworkers fix any issues that popped up from numerous sites that he created with no technical understanding. What a mess. Employees performed all of the work while management would take credit for their hard work. There are very hard working people at the company who do not get the credit they deserve and its basically just a boys club in management who do not care about their employees opinions.
