Pros

Meeting good people, and learning from your teammates, because you can't learn from senior management.

Cons

Everything, except for the people that are working below senior management. Half the time, people here are looking for ways to get out. There is no one to look out for the care of the employees, especially because the directors are only worried about parroting the president and instead of standing up for their team, they put their team in front of them whenever their in the line of fire. The company continues to hire young girls because they want to mold impressionable youth, and teams are sat down for hours to help guide them, when in fact, no one cares about these "guiding" meetings. And there's no trust between the employees and senior management. The company has such a fast turnaround, and FYI, only got water put into the LA office in 2014 (the company's been running for 7 years). The company is toxic, and its so funny that there are positive reviews here because no one likes working here. Literally, no one... the companies not that big, and people talk. Stop trying to make it seem like we're blessed to be in hell.

Pros

Great coworkers for the most part.

Cons

Where to start?! First - if you love never getting raises because "finances are tight" then watching money burned through like its raining hundreds at the club, Bollare is for you. Some aka most employees have been there for years and have received only one raise or if they did its so low you might have well kept the change. Meanwhile the owner spends company funds on elaborate parties for a select few of her "favs"celebrate the fact this place is even still in business. Facilities have been literally dangerous especially in NY but yet we have plenty of funds for taco parties and ice cream to distract from the fact that nothing is ever going to change. Not to mention in LA insect infestations are rampant. Oh and no employee parking too so got to love moving your car every 5 minutes like its street cleaning day. Upper management spend most of their time making up "blogger events" in random tropical places to engage our clients aka free vacations on the money we should have spent on employees! Oh and apparently writing fake positive reviews on here...K ALL DAY Beyond all of these wonderful traits the company barely holds onto clients not because of the employees who represent them so diligently but because the owner uses products and gifting for personal enhancement of herself as a "brand" And then there is turn over - you know totally normal for 5 employees to quit in less than 2 weeks! And lets not wish them well on their growth to better things but tell them they owe you something

Pros

- The non-executive level team members are extremely smart, hardworking, and good at their jobs. Everyone has different skill sets to bring to the table, giving you the opportunity to learn from everyone - Team members learn how to flaunt their successes in an effective way to make them a stronger publicist - You will learn a great deal at this company. As long as you have a positive attitude and go-getter personality, you will be able to thrive here - Working at Bollare, you will learn a lot about how to navigate different personalities that will be helpful for you throughout your career - The executive team is often not supported, however they are admirable leaders that are spread too thin - Opportunity to work with cool brands and events - Great networking opportunity. Company has a number of connections within the industry - The owner is a great publicist that offers a wealth of knowledge in the field - Ample time off around the holidays

Cons

- Compensation is extremely below average, resulting in frustrated employees that are not passionate about their position and feel undervalued - Within each team, there is no clear structure or division of roles. Expectations for each level are generally the same. Titles, salaries, and years of experience do not align - Some teams have several assistants, while others that also need an assistant do not have one. This results in higher level employees picking up the slack and doing administrative tasks - Travel accommodations are extremely unfair and often times employees are asked to stay with friends or work with extremely low budgets while traveling for business - Client load is incredibly heavy and team members are spread too thin across multiple accounts. Employees are not able to do their best work for each and every client, which often results in unsatisfied clients - When asking for a raise or promotion, management shuts you down and tells you to wait for the yearly review. This often triggers team members to begin looking for new opportunities early on - There is pressure to promote the company and live the vision of the Bollare lifestyle. Personal social media accounts are highly monitored - There are obvious favorite employees amongst the executive team and certain team members are given special treatment. This results in some personal frustrations and cattiness within the office - Employees are given daily chores such as dishes, toilet paper replenishment, and trash duties - No employee parking. You must move your car every two hours
