I don't think you can trust upper management. They care more about the people in the home office than they do their sales reps. Although, they claim they care about their reps, except you know the saying..."actions speak louder than words" couldn't be more accurate here. Example, firing a rep in a territory, so a favored manager could go back to his old territory, who then decides he didn't want to be a sales rep again, so he left the company, leaving JDS without a rep in a large territory. So JDS management calls the rep they fired, claiming to have made a mistake, and asking him to stay and keep his job- not really telling him what the actual situation was. Another example, promising reps a raise, then not giving it to them. Or, letting reps go, even when they hit/or exceeding their goals. ICP plan changes almost every quarter, the only thing that stays the same is the fact that you make no money with any of them.
