Old-fashioned company which tries to portray itself as a "modern" company. Far from it - too many employees stuck and retain their position with old / antiquated mentalities. E.g. managers who struggled A LOT with the concept of working from home, and huge flexibility issues. Also, although the company tries to portray itself as an "international" company, it is very "Dutch" in the way it functions. Unfortunately, employees working there seem to accept it, simply because "this is Boskalis" - which makes no sense for the young and professional. Another negative is that it is a male-dominated environment and that there are no aspects for personal career growth.

My experience at Boskalis Subsea Services has been largely negative due to poor management and a senior leadership team that lacks direction and communication. Promotions often favour charisma over merit, leading to frustration among dedicated employees. Additionally, performance reviews can be misleading, creating confusion about individual contributions and job security, especially for those not part of the "in crowd." This culture tolerates underperformance among favoured employees, which undermines overall morale and productivity.
