Endless opportunities to lead, learn, grow and master healthcare architecture!
Pros
I have enjoyed working at BA tremendously and have made life-long friends here. It is a nice place to work (and play), and this is especially the case if you are the type of person who feels connected to the success of the whole business. We aren’t all owners here, but a lot of people who work here are, and the people who take responsibility for what they are doing and learning each day (even if they are not owners yet), are the people who tend to be happiest. This place has given me so many opportunities to try the things I have been interested in. I haven't always been very good at everything I tried, and have received constructive criticism at times, but it has all made me a better architect and mentor. I now am mentoring junior (and even senior) architects in cases where I know a trick that they haven't yet mastered. After working in other jobs where nobody cared about me, my education, future or mastery, this has been a great experience and I hope to stay for many years.
Cons
Of course no job is 100% perfect, but BA might be close to perfect for you if you are someone who wants to learn as much as you can about healthcare architecture, have fun and wants to feel like what you do every day helps the world and helps your co-workers. If you are the type of person who doesn’t like to be guided or mentored, thinks a job owes you something extra just because you showed up, or if work just seems like a hassle that interferes with your true interests, this is probably not the right fit.
