Pros

As a float pool MA I have an opportunity to learn skills in multiple departments -primary care and specialists. Most of the doctors are great to work with and I am supported by my co-workers and supervisor. Pay and benefits work well for my family. Company is locally-owned and a stable workplace.

Cons

Short staffed in many departments.

We're pleased to hear that you are learning and growing at Boulder Medical Center! The MA float position is a great way to gain experience in various healthcare fields. And yes, we are locally owned (by the physicians in our practice), a unique model in an era of increasing corporate healthcare. This is how we have operated since our doors opened almost 75 years ago. Another characteristic that makes BMC unique is that in 2023 our physicians elected their female peers to hold the majority of seats on our board of directors. They work beside Donna Basden, our first female CEO, who was hired in 2022. So many exciting things happening at Boulder Medical Center! As we evolve with the rapidly changing and often challenging healthcare landscape, we thank you for bringing your unique skills and talents to our team. Please let us know how we can continue supporting your goals and aspirations. Our entire team is working on solving staffing shortages. If you are reading this, please don't hesitate to apply. We'd love to meet you!
