Best place to grow and work with

Pros

One of the best place to work in Bangladesh if you are looking for a job in IT. This company is run by the best people I've ever known who truly cares about their employee. I've faced a couple of situation during my working period where the leaders protected me like a shield, which is a rare thing nowadays. And that's a common thing for them to do for all their employee. And people who do good work there never get unrecognized in terms of salary and position both.

Cons

As the company is big and growing now they don't do the entire office gateway very often.

Pros

Friendly environment, nice office and still one of best companies in Bangladesh for Junior and Mid-level developers.

Cons

Salary is very average. Specially after Covid, the company is becoming a factory of producing toxic managers (some of them were once good developers before managerial role). Not only toxic, most are very incompetent in their work as they constantly fail to bring up the best output from team. They don’t care codebase architecture, clean code and design principles and developers’ work-life balance. So the outcome is mostly technical debt and client unhappiness (a little change request takes unreasonable time in a stable production codebase). And these are very common in most SBUs. There’s saying, ‘ a manager who can’t track the output and productivity of WFH developers, is not a good manager.’ So they push rudely everyone to come in office to cover-up their inefficiency. The result is ‘quiet quitting’ - developers started passing the day in physical office with average work, as they know their performance is only measured by sitting around (sometimes oiling) in office. Not to mention, some SBUs became like sweatshop and garment industry (like NopStation). With the very average salary and bad management (HR too), most loyal competent developers are gone in last 2 years. To minimize the turnover, the recent 2-month mandatory notice-period made a big blow to its reputation, now anyone with think twice to join BS. The company’s future may go dark if the percentage of both loyal and competent will go down less than 10%. It makes me very sad to see the situation of the company which we used to love and enjoyed working together.
