High standards, very high commission & supportive management
Pros
I joined Bramwith Consulting as a Senior Consultant with 3 years previous recruitment experience in Supply Chain market hiring into clients across Europe. Bramwith has a real family feel to it, largely due to the energy, time and commitment from the MD. It’s amazing to see many experienced recruiters are still at Bramwith who have literally been there for 7 - 10 years. Bramwith is an amazing company both in it’s entrepreneurial, high rewarding culture but the company sets a very high bar, so is not right for any recruiters who want to coast. Some of the reviews are clearly from disgruntled under performers who are probably just bitter. Yes, the Directors and the wider team will drive you to work hard, improve and ultimately bill more. They have a fantastic individual, uncapped commission structure so when you bill, you can get huge commission payments, which are paid quarterly and are 100% based on your personal billing, so you just put your billings into a commission calculator and that is what you get paid + basic salary. I would highly recommend Bramwith to any experienced recruiter keen to work hard, for an industry leading recruitment business, who set high standards, supports you through the good and bad times whilst rewarding high performance. The ad hoc bonuses are also great for making me feel valued when I overperform. I’m glad I joined and can’t see myself going anywhere else!
Cons
Recruitment is a demanding industry and I have experienced many highs and lows. It can be tough when you are struggling and everything seems to be going against you, so it is so important to have a supportive manager and business who can see that you are working hard, doing the right things and support you in those tough times, not just rewarding you in the good times! Bramwith have always been amazing at giving me quality time to talk through my business, listen to my calls, give me a pep talk and basically back me to turn it around. There is also great flexibility so if you want to work from home and have the resources to do so, that’s never an issue.
