Revolving Door!

Pros

Employees are nice and easy to get along with. The work area is decent and you can leave earlier on Fridays.

Cons

At first glance, the environment appears to be very unconventional and even an enjoyable place to be. The founder comes across as sincere and fair but far from that. I found the place to be very reactive to situations, especially customer service related issues and as one reviewer mentioned, a huge lack of communication between sales and design. Another red flag which seems to be glorified is the lack of an HR department or HR person. It seems to be a non-issue until you realize people can be let go without warning, written documentation or a reason. Learning curve-there isn't one. The founder has many unrealistic expectations of his staff. It's not unheard of there for some to stay overnight to get the job done. The turnover is extremely high for a place of that size. When I looked at the "team" picture on their website, I realized I didn't recognize a lot of those people when I started. They had already come and gone. As one reviewer said, "keep looking", when it comes to another job. If you do work there, have a back up plan because most likely, you'll need one.

Taking Advantage of the Little People

Pros

Fellow coworkers are a great group of people who are highly talented and easy to work with. You'll find that the best part of your job is the connections that you'll make with some great people.

Cons

The company is built on the facade that you're "helping small businesses succeed" when in fact the overall goal of the CEO is to trick as many vulnerable/failing real estate agents on spending their last dollar in buying a website that holds absolutely no growth value on the digital market. For the creative talent, you'll be directed to suppress all creative skills in creating outdated designs that goes against all fundamental principals of a graphic artist and against all best practices. All employees are overworked, underpaid, unhappy, undervalued, and highly disposable. No job stability or opportunities for growth.

There are free “snacks” and video games you’re not allowed to play...

Cons

I have never in my entire professional career witnessed such a colossal breakdown in leadership than I have experienced while working at BrandCo. For the entirety of the year that I worked at the company I was micromanaged and had my shoulder constantly looked over, yet when I needed actual guidance from management (the owner) was suddenly too busy. That to say, in every meeting, the sales team was pitted against the creative and development teams by the owner, which ultimately resulted in the customers suffering. If you have any other opportunities, anything at all, chose that over working at BrandCo. Working here will grind you to the point of exhaustion... there is a reason no one leaves this place with a positive experience.
