Pros

Being able to help people in their lives at work with confidential coaching. The Bravely Pros are amazing and caring people who make a real impact!

Cons

I know it’s a startup and with that comes chaos and uncertainty. With that being said, within weeks of starting my job I was criticized and scolded for not knowing how a process worked that I had not received training on or had any exposure to via a long and spiteful slack from one of the more tenured employees. The person I report to will encourage you to be vulnerable and put pressure on you to share personal intimate details about your life and then bring them up and shame you for your areas of perceived weaknesses in what appears to be intentional intimidation and manipulation. I do not understand why this company who claims to want to solve diversity issues and throws cliche terms around like “psychological safety” at the drop of a hat then turns around and on what seems like a weekly basis “encourages” (read: we will notice if you don’t show up because there’s only 25 of us total) 30-60 min long internal discussions around racism and sexism by way of encouraging people to share personal and upsetting stories with each other about their personal experiences being discriminated against. By the end of a work day at this company you will feel completely emotionally drained. No matter which role you sign up for, know that your #1 job here is participating in exposing every fiber of your being through peer pressure and a culture that forcefully pushes you to feel compelled to over share before you do anything you came here and are paid to do.

Pros

* Fully Remote * Flexibility for work-life balance * Remote team building and DEI events *Nice people on the team

Cons

* It starts at the top with the founders. I'm not sure how serious they are about running a business and being the leaders of this company rather their focus is on getting to an acquisition. I don't believe they're truly passionate about the mission or coaching. I do think there are other leaders who care, but if the founders don't, what does it matter? Perhaps they're burnt out and unable to lead anymore. * Limited opportunity for growth and promotions because the company is not growing. *Lack of strategy *It seems like there are some people on the team who are not truly showing up.
