Pros

The general employee base is great. Really hard workers that turn into great colleagues and friends.

Cons

Behind the façade of caring about their employees, diversity, feedback and openness lies the truth. That truth being a partner and leadership group that uses their employees. Sweeps rampant gender inequality and sexual harrassment under the rug. Ignores feedback and shuts down openness by stealing credit for any good idea that comes from someone below a VP level. I was privy to many discussions about certain partners and leaders who openly harrassed, discriminated against, or both, females in the company, having excuses being made for them and it becoming a matter of "waiting for them to retire". I sat in multiple meetings with leaders making racist, anti-lgbtqia+ and sexist comments. When I repeatedly reported those comments I was told, "that's terrible but that is just so and so, they're harmless". There are many promises made at Bridge to keep their employees. Promises of promotions and raises. Though they rarely ever get met without the threat of leaving the organization. They have a policy in place to only allow certain promotions at certain times of the year which gets leveraged quite often to keep from promoting those that deserve it even though that policy gets set aside for certain individuals. All in all Bridge Investment Group has a very shiny façade that they hide many terrible things behind. If you are considering working here, I would reconsider.

Pros

Bridge is a unique company, and it's interesting to learn about real estate investments and all the different pieces that work together to make it successful.

Cons

Executives and leadership are some of the worst I have experienced in my career. Especially the HR leadership team and the executives. The HR leadership team does not care to do their job, they just like feeling important. No exit interviews are conducted, they only push for diversity due to investors' interest (not because they should care and celebrate a diverse workforce). Their turnover rate is absurd. I believe they have about a 50% turnover rate. We cannot keep recruiters at all, and the talent acquisition team has a 100% turnover rate. When you go to higher up executives with concerns, they ignore the complaints and accusations. Might as well not even bother. Sexual harassment is ever-present in that atmosphere with the leadership team asking too personal of questions to their employees. When an employee has been sexually harassed outside of the department by another member of leadership, they sweep it under the rug and victim blame. How can people still be victim blaming, you ask? Well, that's a question for the leadership in HR. Discrimination is blatantly obvious in all parts of the company. They are trying too hard to force diversity, it feels fake to everyone. A diverse workforce is a strong and important quality for companies. Bridge's one and only reason to celebrate diversity in the workplace is because their investors want it. That is all. They don't actually care about their employees; they care about making money. They don't actually care about changing best practices to increase and promote diversity in the workplace, they want to flip the switch so bad for investors that they have asked hiring managers and recruiters to hire diverse candidates, even if they are not the best person for the job. Compensation is the lowest of the low here. Your total compensation package will be on the low end of the market range for your position. Your base pay? No where near where it should. They low-ball base compensation but try to make it up to you with a higher bonus (10+%). However, it's not a guaranteed bonus. So, it'll be iffy on whether you actually will end up with market pay by the end of the year. Overall, Bridge is a corrupt, greedy and toxic place to work. My mental health rapidly declined by the day with how they treat their employees, workforce and how they talk about others. Not only will you make more money elsewhere, but you will also have a healthier work environment.

Pros

There are some great people at Bridge, but they are sometimes hard to find or don't stay with the company very long. Its possible to get some good solid working experience if you are new in your career.

Cons

Update to this review. If you read nothing else, read this paragraph. After submitting my review Bridge contested it trying to get it taken down. Bridge would rather hide what goes on instead of actually address the issues for why employees leave. Bridge is great at sweeping serious concerns under the rug and will continue their efforts to silence honest feedback. It’s difficult to look at my time with Bridge as anything less than frustrating and disappointing. There were good times, but unfortunately, they are overshadowed by the bad. So here are a few things you should be aware of before accepting a job with this company. The first you should know is the lower you are in the company the higher standard you are held to. Or rather, the higher you are in the company, the more lenient and protective they are. Don’t expect leadership to take appropriate action to right the wrongs managers cause for their teams. Next, you should know you can find some good people, even some great managers at bridge; however, they probably won’t stick around. In fact, some employees who leave bridge are met with hostility and the cold shoulder by their managers. Concerns raised in exit interviews are ignored. Instead of trying to understand the reason behind employees’ departures, they are ignored and blamed as being the problem. The results are stagnated problems or poor managers that continue to fester and drive turnover. Expect to have promises made that aren’t kept. Pay, promotion, etc. are held out as a carrot on a stick you’ll never actually reach. Especially for less senior or less “important” jobs. On top of that, leadership will sometimes support managers even when the manager is lying. Bridge also likes to set rules and expectations for the company and then make exceptions for those higher-level manager positions or those who are well liked/connected to leadership. Another thing you should know is that bridge will tout diversity, but it comes off as very ingenuine. The only diversity they care about are hot button issues that they can use to point to being diverse in order to generate more investor dollars. It’s not because they care about diversity, its because it gives them an advantage with investors. Be wary of accepting a job at Bridge. You may get some good experience, and depending on the vertical or department, the pay might be decent. Just do not expect this to be a company you can tolerate for years and years. You’re likely to grow disenchanted and be looking for a better company before too long, unless of course you are one of the higher managers being protected and rewarded for playing the politics game and undercutting/belittling/holding back other employees. Bridge wants yes-men, so unless that’s your style, look for another offer.
