Pros

I honestly cannot think of anything positive to say about working here. I guess a positive is that there's many opportunities to pick up overtime, but that's because the facility is very understaffed and often times staff call out for to burnout.

Cons

The staff appreciation is non-existent. Very high turnover rate with Unit Managers, DONs....and staff in general. Upper management does not address staff concerns at all. You can be hired for one position and end up working 3 positions without a salary increase or extra assistance. Every day your license is in jeopardy, along with your safety. Residents are allowed to do drugs in the facility without consequence. Because this is ghe residents' "home", they're pretty much allowed to do whatever they want, including bringing weapons into the facility. ALWAYS understaffed. The cafeteria is closed on the weekends. Unrealistic demands placed on staff.

Pros

All the overtime you want. Cafeteria food is really really good! Management is pretty much fair & friendly.

Cons

Short staffed for every shift no matter what day it is. You can be on the 4th floor with only 1 nurse for 39 patients and only have 2 CNAs. Starting CNA pay 13.50 and you must work every other weekend. No room for growth and no raise at 90 day evaluation. The work is hard and the pay is low. They will move CNAs to a different floor and make your floor short staffed to help out another floor who is short. There is always a shortage in wash clothes!

Pros

I Learn a lot of nursing skills , there are lot of overtime due to being understaff. Good benefits like tuition payment.

Cons

Understaff, bad management, no team work. Preceptors were not helpful. I was left by myself after only few weeks with a preceptor.
