-Management is awful. They made me (and other employees) feel worthless and singled out almost constantly during the first 3 months of employment.
- favoritism - if managers don’t like you, they'll make it noticeable
- improperly trained hosts who will seat multiple tables in a row and blame you for not checking on tables within 2 minutes
- lots of rules. You have to take a test after training before you’re allowed on the floor alone
-priorities aren’t where they should be. Management is so focused on the customers spending money and upselling that they don’t tell employees they’re doing a good job. It’s either “here’s what you’re doing wrong” or they make no comments.
-CRAZY HIGH tip out. You end up walking with 65% of your tips while the food runners and bussers are nowhere to be found.
- management will single you out if they don’t like you and make it noticeable. There were times customers would notice the lack of help management gave, but when you ask for help they look down on you for not being able to do your job.
- they want you to run your own food and pre-bus and run your own drinks and give great customer service and if it’s not completed within 5 minutes of the table being sat down you’re at risk of loosing your job. Meanwhile, they sit in the bar corner doing nothing on their laptops the entire shifts.
You’d probably be happier working for chilis or target than working here. Almost every shift for 3+ months had me feeling worthless and as if I was a bad server, and I’ve been in the industry 10+ years
