Pros

You’ll have one genuinely honest and supportive conversation there…. during your exit interview.

Cons

They have truly mastered the art of making talented people feel like they’re never doing enough. Every day is another race to hit unrealistic metrics while leadership delivers motivational speeches that somehow make morale even worse. They make this place seem like the best place to work on earth especially when candidates come in for interviews, when in reality it’s all stress and depression behind closed doors. You’re told you’re valued, but it quickly becomes obvious your worth is tied almost exclusively to whatever number appears next to your name that week on a brag slide show, during a weekly meeting where the same “top perfomers” speak about the same recycled advice every single week that nobody listens to because it’s not helpful at all. You will also walk away with zero consultative sales skills as an sdr because this job isnt even real sales it’s just harassing people to get them to answer the phone and straight up lying to them to hit an insanely high quota. There literally aren’t even enough business days in the month to hit goal without cheating it’s honestly diabolical. It’s the name type of mess on the AE side but worse, they push you to finish your sdr career as soon as possible so you can be promoted into a role with even more depression and less work life balance it’s honestly hilarious. The suspiciously enthusiastic five-star reviews talking about the “amazing culture.” and “growth opportunity” really isn’t fooling anybody especially with having a turnover rate that high. If you are in the interview process or received an offer and are debating on whether to go there, just don’t. That first post grad job high will wear off in like 2 weeks max and by month 3 you will have lost your will to live and by then you’ll already be a shell of a human and not even realize it.

Pros

You will learn the basics and become very close with your coworkers

Cons

This job will make you question your sanity 24/7. Prepare to be constantly manipulated and scrutinized by leadership. The quota is ridiculously unattainable and if you have half of a brain you will realize just how insane the expectations are. The few that do hit quota tend to do so in questionable ways and go on to be promoted while being completely unprepared due to lack of training and outdated practices. The tools you are given are not up to industry standards, forcing you to do a lot of things manually and ultimately decrease your productivity and output. While the product is good, it’s a niche fit and you will be forced to go after prospects at companies that are simply a waste of time for you and the AE, just to hit a made up number. Hours are LONG and there is zero work life balance. Absolutely toxic environment with zero professionalism. You will not see a single example of good OR normal corporate behavior. So much gossip, everything is presented as life or death, and you will be consistently put up against your peers in a very anxiety inducing way.

Pros

Good snacks and made some long lasting friendships because of the trauma bond

Cons

I could write a majorly long paragraph about my horrible experience working there but all I will say is, do not work at this company. The only thing you will get out of it is to find out how hard you can work until you reach your breaking point as well as the appreciation for any other job you will have after working here. While working at this company you will become a completely different person without even realizing it. Be prepared to get into work early, leave late, go home, and clock back in 6 days a week. If you do decide to take a break and not work overtime, your numbers will drop you will be filled with anxiety and constantly compared to the 3/100 reps that do actually hit goal. Instead of making the goal manageable while they see 70% of reps struggling they say, "There will be reps that hit goal and reps that don’t". The most successful reps I saw there were the ones that worked their life away. The main thing they will tell you is that the SDR job is preparing you for the AE role, this could not be further from the truth. As an SDR, there are no real sales skills that you will walk away with other than the ability to cold call 200 people a day. Lying and deceiving people over the phone to come to a meeting for commission isn't sales, it's immoral and wrong. As an account executive you will be working harder and longer than the SDRs to run these meetings that were set up out of deception. Not to mention that if you don’t close a deal, you will be making less money and get fired. If there were any problems that the reps have with the high quota and burnout, they will tell you to "work your way to the top if you want something changed". The culture here is young and can be fun at a happy hour but other than that it is immature and you are contributing no real growth in your career. The company is losing employees more rapidly than I've ever seen and will tell you otherwise. If you work here, prepared to be riddled with anxiety and gaslight and manipulated.
