Pros

Lots of learning because there is no one else to help you apart from you

Cons

It is the worst company ever! Management keeps promising this and that but we never get anything, we are expected to work on Saturdays and Sundays casually, Only good thing here and the 1 star is for the amount of learning you get apart from that 0 in everything else, No hikes , Long works hours since the company is in USA you need to work till 3 or 4 am , 0 growth , just ask the former employees from LinkedIn, look at their attrition rate , The management is useless, lots of managers who expect software overnight and working perfectly, if you want to suffer here and lose your life, health and family , you can join here, Most loved company is only a title, everyone here is just looking to escape , started as a product and now is a typical service company that worse than others because there is not many people available either, The management turns a deaf ear to all your concerns or problems , cost cutting everywhere and trying to squeeze every bit of juice you have left , stay away for your life

Thank you for your unfettered feedback. Brimma was challenged with fluctuating client demands and it did stretch resources in very unpredictable ways. However, in the last 3 months we have addressed the key challenges by investing in the following: 1. Senior leadership to provide guidance and structure 2. Added 15+ resources to balance the workload – Mortgage SMEs and Engineers work together to properly train up on key function/design foundations to reduce uncertainty 3. Instituted procedures to assure our Engineers/Developers are part of the work effort estimate, development and ultimate delivery process 4. Implemented Mentorship – Training programs to better transition knowledge for new hires and across client projects We know our Tribal Mission is unique and worthwhile; and we are relentless in our process of self- discovery. We are gaining industry traction with both clients and partners. We have actually throttled down marketing to assure our delivery teams have the time they need to design and engineer quality software while having a more balanced work/life environment. We will continually take feedback to better our processes and our teams. This is who we are and This is what we do.

Pros

1. If you're planning to start a company down the line, this is the perfect place to be. It is a proper start up, which teaches you multiple lessons on how to be, how not to be. I'm sure the lessons I learnt here, will be of help to me, for many more years to come. You'll experience it first hand, which I'm sure, no amount of books/blogs/stories will be able to teach you. 2. The CEO has great interpersonal skills and tries to have relationship with every employee during the 1-on-1s. 3. Compensation is very good, compared to industry standards. 4. Opportunities to learn is maximum. This is the place to learn and grow truly. 5. If you want some changes, analyse your suggestions and propose it. They're ready to listen, if they're convinced. 6. High growth is expected in future, as a sales person and technical head with high experience has joined the US team. Also a good time to grow in mortgage industry, as much work is expected in the industry. 7. WFH allowance was given. WFH option was given very generously even before the lockdown situation. 8. I could clear other interviews easily, because of the portfolio that I had created here, with Brimma. 9. Opportunity to witness and work in entire life cycle of a project, from ideation to development to demo, release and support.

Cons

1. If you're not a good communicator or not willing to learn to be a communicator, this is not the place to be. There are some unhappy engineers who do not wish to be a communicator (not blaming them. -their personal choice). If you're one among them, this is not the place for you. (It is also a great place to learn how to communicate) 2. There are a few bad hires in technical and managerial roles. It takes time to learn to handle these people. 3. If you cannot say NO, you'll be expected to work for higher number of hours by the manager. Once you learn to say no, it's easy to maintain work hours. 4. You have to ask for benefits/compensation/resources you need.

Thank you for your feedback. We at Brimma always strive to maintain a positive and supportive culture that fosters growth, innovation, and collaboration. However, we understand that sometimes things can fall through the cracks, and we may not always meet the expectations of our partners. Here are some of our practices and policies that are in place: 1. To ensure a work-life balance, we have a 4 Day Work Policy along with continued Flexi Working. Given the business needs and current market climate, there are times when we are required to let go of the Flexi working / 4 day off. However, we ensure that our partners who stand with us during these stretched times and challenges, are duly benefited with Compensatory Offs and / or other perks when feasible. 2. To ensure every partner has a comfortable lifestyle, we offer packages that are upto or above the market cutoffs. Whenever Brimma’s business flourished, we have shared our profits with our partners. 3. We also have a commitment to our clients to ensure their ROI (Return on Investment) along with a Sense of Urgency that will enable their growth which in-turn enable Brimma’s growth. While we strongly believe and practice leading the team via the Scrum Model, times when there are deviations, we may have to do a closer monitoring to overcome risks, bottlenecks etc. 4. Under all conditions, such as the ongoing downtime in our Mortgage Domain, we have always stayed transparent with our partners. Even in the current challenged times, our CEO took a commendable decision of not to let go of people! As we continue to grow, one of our key drivers is to continually take feedback and find avenues to improve. We are open to all types of feedback as it helps us to have a 360degree view and help us identify our focus areas to become stronger as a tribe! This is US! Thank you for being part of the journey with the tribe and your contribution! We wish you the very best for all your endeavours.
