This company has been on the decline for years and they will remain that way unless they start taking care of their customers and employees. They will have changed their name TWICE in less than 3 years and honestly believe switching to Brinks is somehow going to magically correct their course.
Senior Management has no idea what they are doing and a they are completely detached from the reality of what their customers and employees have to go through on a daily basis.
Unqualified and unsupprtive team managers rule with iron fists and they are unflinching in their quest to climb to the top of the ladder. Tenure and loyalty mean nothing, so don't expect your time, energy, or efforts to mean much at the end of the day. My last manager was probably the most unsupportive and uninvolved manager I ever had the misfortune to work with. She rarely met her commitments to meet with me, couldn't care less about what was actually going on with my team, and had a true skill in making those around her constantly fear for their jobs. Her ability to make everyone she interacted with not really like her was truly a remarkable thing to witness.
Almost all of the positive reviews on this site, and pretty much anywhere, are fake so do not believe the hype of 90 percent of the 4 or 5 star reviews you read. Either they paid a customer in some form to garner a positive review or an employee made a fake account and posted the review.
If you speak up about any of the working conditions you are immediately marked for departure. My advice to anyone applying here is to keep your thoughts to yourself and do whatever upper management tells you with a fake smile because that's all they want. Oh and don't respond with honest answers on the employee survey; the whole anonymous piece is a complete lie and they will use your answers against you when it comes time to thin the herd (my manager told me that my team's answers were all read by her boss and they wanted to know "What was going on with the team." - I thought that was the point of the survey though...).
Nepotism runs rampant here and HR is either powerless to stop it or outright refuses to do so. I've heard from numerous people that my former supervisor is currently dating one of his former agents, and even though HR knew about it both of these people still work there. How is this type of relationship allowed in a professional environment? Let's just say there were multiple times when he was her superior that they were in his office for far too long (for no apparent reason) and there was far too much physical contact between the two of them. The whole team suspected something was up and I'm sure they still do. I know for a fact that HR was/is aware of it after another dismissed employee brought it to their attention, but instead of reprimands or expulsion they BOTH got promotions.
If you want to work in an environment filled with "yes men" that stifles ideas, success is based on who you know rather than what you are actually capable of, and an environment that is rife with anti consumer and truly unethical business practices, then go right ahead. If want to actually have a successful career with a successful company I would definitely recommend you apply to pretty much anywhere else.
