Pros

The location is great. Metro accessible. Lots of lunch options just a quick walk away. Product is ok.

Cons

The management team is terrible. The CEO is horrible. Honestly, what kind of a CEO has the time to get into cat fights on Glassdoor? What kind of CEO actually has time to do so? The CEO says he cares about his people. No. Incorrect. He cares about what people say and think about him. He cares only about his ego. He spends more time obsessing about Glassdoor reviews than fixing all the problems Brivo has. One review made me LOL. The accounting person that said they wished they never left (left to move to CA). This person left Brivo TWO, TWO years ago! This is how deep Brivo is digging to get positive reviews posted every time a negative one pops up. Pathetic. To the CEO: You're so vain, and yes this post is about you. You're so vain! You're so vain!

Pros

Well respected product in an industry full of copy cats.

Cons

I'm torn about this place. I did genuinely like working there, but would always feel weird when management belittled and berated former employees. It was/is (I still know people in-house who tell me it still happens) typical for the COO and CEO to say, "so-and-so did it this way and as a result we are in this position." Wrong approach, guys. First of all, speak those words to the current employee's face and either let them go, or put them on a path of improvement. Secondly, you look foolish when you blame other people. That approach fosters no accountability and exhibits zero leadership. Prospective employees also beware of the overly generic 5-star reviews. Most if not all were submitted by one HR employee charged with maintaining a high Glassdoor rating. If you do interview at Brivo ask if people are happy. Ask about what the company is focused on and how each department contributes to that focus.

Pros

They have pretty Cool tech.

Cons

Where to begin. They used to allow for growth of salary for long tenured employees. They then began firing employees who weren't promoted even though they were great at their jobs and replaced them with younger versions for much less money. They slashed bonus structures for many employees who were there long enough, as they changed compensation structures. This caused many to become disenfranchised, as they told them they were getting a raise hoping they wouldn't notice. They hired micro-managers in the service areas. They monitor this page obsessively and attempt to write fake reviews up here. Very toxic environment.
