1. The work is meaningful and interesting. Companies only come to us when they're stumped so we're always working on something challenging. My day-to-day work involves both strategic thinking and talking with knowledgeable experts. And since it's a small firm, even as a brand new associate I was exposed to all levels of the business. 2. We have an excellent culture and work environment with good work/life balance. And from our leadership on down, everyone is friendly and approachable. It's a diverse group with a lot of different backgrounds. We've transitioned really well to fully remote work - we get together once or twice a month in person (usually Washington DC) or online (we did a chocolate tasting last month where we each got mailed a box) and twice a year for 3-5 day offsites which are a lot of fun. 3. It's a great place to build skills and knowledge that apply to almost any career path. I've learned how to think strategically, but also how to quickly come up to speed in any field, how to get the most from talking to experts, and how to understand and solve client problems.
