      Great opportunity for juniors looking for more responsibility beyond analyst work

      Pros

      Really great opportunity for people interested in the healthcare sector. Due to the boutique nature of the business juniors get exposure to every part of the deal process and more face time with senior management, c-suite, as well as international travel opportunities. I don’t know of another place that provides as much exposure for juniors. Lots of room for upward mobility as you get to work directly with managing director.

      Cons

      No formal training process as there is at bulge brackets. You learn on the job, which is not a bad thing.

      - A niche player in Healthcare M&A - Great exposure to clients and responsibility at analyst level - Nice people to work with and seniors are willing to help

      lack of junior people so analysts could be fairly busy

      Awful place run by a narcissistic moron

      Can say you work in investment banking - but beyond saying it you could barely back that up with citing experiences

      Cons

      The senior partner (only one - one man "partnership") - who would partner with him? He thinks he is smart - in reality he is a moron. Pay is nothing. Experience is non-existent. Firm (more so partner) is laughing stock in the industry. I heard so many PE funds make fun of him. Was actually in meetings with him where he was asked to leave. If you have a choice between working here and mail room somewhere - take mail room.
